Moulded Repairs

Sloperacer is very pleased to announce that we are now associated with legendary mouldie repairer Tony Fu!

We’ve worked with Tony to ensure that he has various repair jigs and fixtures for all the models we sell. So if the worst happens, instead of buying new panels or repairing it yourself you could have it professionally restored. If you’ve seen repairs done by Tony (and there are plenty about in the competition scene) you’ll see the finish and accuracy is very hard to tell from the original. But it’s not just surface finish competition flyers are interested in; its strength and weight. Tony’s secret is that most repairs are actually remoulded and very little is done by eye. Of course he uses at least the same lay up as the original and importantly cures his repairs with heat and pressure. So anyone having ago themselves will find it difficult to emulate Tony’s work without serious investment in jigs, moulds, equipment and facilities. This makes him a popular guy after every league event!

We’ve also talked to our manufacturers to ensure that Tony has paint matches for every model we sell, to make those invisible repairs possible.
